Really enjoyed this one! It’s based on a true story and felt so realistic – from the tour guides, to the characters that were scuba diving, you feel like you are living the moment with them all because of the way it’s filmed. The lead characters were very relatable and I found myself completely rooting for them in the shark infested waters. I’m a sucker for shark movies and this one is near the top ones I’ve seen.

Absolutely loved the realistic nature of this movie! There are parts that feel almost found-footage/home movie style which really works with the fact it’s based on a true story. There’s no special effects – and to be honest, not a lot of ‘scary’ moments themselves or glorified jump scares/gore scenes from the sharks, all of the fear comes from the terrifying factor of being trapped in the ocean alone with no way out. The true story it’s based on is really sad – what a horrible thing to go through. Great survival movie – won’t be scuba diving anytime soon!
