Blind Date – Wendy Clarke

β€œStraightforward, Easy Read”

This was an enjoyable, easy read. It was very predictable after the first half of the story, so if you’re after something more suspenseful or challenging, this may not hit the mark. But for a quick, straightforward read, it was good enough! I enjoyed the different aspects of the story, and I liked the fact that some of the side plots (the affair, girl in the tunnel etc), all got brief mentions, tying into the main plot without being too convoluted. I also liked that the characters were all side characters except Mel cos again, not too overwhelming and allowed the story to progress without clutter. The end admittedly still did get a bit dull cos had already guessed a while before what was going to happen, if there was a little bit more subtlety in the build up it would be a lot better!
