I love a twisty, suspenseful storyline – especially when it’s based in a beautiful location! It initially started out quite interesting – with lots of characters, lots of different storylines, the idyllic feel of the island, plus I liked the fact everything slowly built up. However, about 1/3 of the way in, it just got ridiculous, there were too many narrative threads, most of which all very unbelievable and ridiculous. *SPOILER!* – You’re telling me someone killed and buried the hotel owner, but nobody noticed? Or that the kid decided to set someone on fire cos she assumed he’d kissed her mum? These kind of “twists” were just bizarre and not enjoyable because of how outlandish it became!
