Part horror, part parody, full gore. When a group of activists (all mainly performative wankers) head out to Peru to protest, they were expecting militia and bulldozers, but after a successful siege at the building site, their plane crashes on their way home – dumping the survivors in a random part of the Amazon, controlled by a tribe of cannibals that try & pick them off one by one. Its brilliantly gory, and has a lot of bigger budget action shots that ramp up the drama. Some scenes are bizarre (the masturbating relaxation scene to name one!) but they work in making the group of protesters the caricature they need to be for this storyline to work.

This kept my interest throughout – I liked the scenery in the rainforest, bit of a different location choice compared to most others. Not your typical horror movie because most of it is set mainly in daylight. This is extremely gory/graphic so if you aren’t into blood & guts – pass on this one! Although – I wouldn’t really class this as a horror, it was more of an action/adventure film in my eyes. I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to watch this one, but if you had some free time why not.
