| Starts out very intriguing – Ellie is a busy mum, with a tenuous relationship with her parents, and (an awful) husband working away all the time, she had a chequered upbringing, and never quite understood why, but slowly starts to go back down memory lane & recover bits of her past that she’s been hiding, as well as unearth secrets in her present that she’s been hoping would stay buried. A intriguing domestic thriller, but a bit too far fetched at points and occasionally felt a little bloated with the amount of secrets crammed in. Hard to like characters also! |
