The film set Harry and Ollie have been catering on is finally wrapping up – no more A-List meltdowns or crew demands to deal with… until the next job of course.

The pair have been friends since they were children, initially setting up the catering van with the hopes of getting into the acting industry themselves. But, it’s now years later, and their dreams of being offered a breakout role feel further away than ever. Ollie (Ollie Hart) is still hopeful, though his caring responsibilities for his mum are his main priority, Harry (Harry Warren) in comparison, seems more intent on making the catering van a profitable business, especially since the break up with his ex-fiancé. The final day of shooting, and the celebratory wrap party is a melting pot of mishaps and mayhem, as they try to juggle the constant demands of the egotistical crew and cast.

Warren and Hart are both brilliant performers – constantly nailing the comedic timing and ensuring every one of their very many character portrayals are believable and easily identifiable. Warren’s depiction of nepo-baby assistant Lily is truly hilarious, transforming into her sassy, unbothered, rich girl vibe as soon as he puts on the tinted glasses. Hart plays the strict, nit-picking compliance officer Claire brilliantly, and completes a very impressive sequence where he juggles multiple characters at once, including Claire, with just a minor change of hats. Both Hart and Warren morph into each character swiftly and flawlessly – proving you don’t need elaborate costumes or extended periods off stage to ensure multiple characters are showcased well – talent alone can carry it off.

Petty’s script could easily form into an enjoyable TV sitcom, as each character is humorous and worked into the narrative well. Additionally, the chemistry, friendship and references to the various inner struggles of the two lads adds an endearing layer to the otherwise comedic storyline, that helps elevate it further from just being a standard comedy. Hopefully a show with more opportunities ahead of it in future!
